- Ninja Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer – SL400
Directions
- To make the tartar sauce, in a small bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, dried onion, pickle, pickle juice, salt, and pepper until blended. Refrigerate while you make the fish.
- Scoop the flour onto a plate; set aside.
- Put the beaten egg in a medium shallow bowl.
- On another plate, stir together the panko and lemon pepper.
- Preheat the air fryer to 205°C.
- Dredge the tilapia fillets in the flour, in the egg, and press into the panko mixture to coat.
- Once the unit is preheated, spray the zone 1 basket with olive oil and place a baking paper liner into the basket. Place the prepared fillets on the liner in a single layer. Lightly spray the fillets with olive oil.
- Cook for 8 minutes, remove the basket, carefully flip the fillets, and spray them with more olive oil. Reinsert the basket to resume cooking.
- When the cooking is complete, the fillets should be golden and crispy and a food thermometer should register 65°C. Place each cooked fillet in a sub roll, top with a little bit of tartar sauce and lettuce, and serve.
