Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 4 drops purple food coloring
  • 1/3 cup chocolate wafer cookies, crushed
  • Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream Maker-NC300

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, add heavy cream, lavender and salt and mix well.
  2. Place the saucepan over low heat and steep, covered for about ten minutes, stirring after every two minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and through a fine-mesh strainer, strain the cream mixture into a large bowl.
  4. Discard the lavender leaves.
  5. In the bowl of cream mixture, add the milk, condensed milk and purple food coloring and beat until smooth.
  6. Transfer the mixture into an empty Ninja CREAMi pint container.
  7. Cover the container with storage lid and freeze for 24 hours.
  8. After 24 hours, remove the lid from container and arrange into the Outer Bowl of Ninja CREAMi.
  9. Install the Creamerizer Paddle onto the lid of Outer Bowl.
  10. Then rotate the lid clockwise to lock.
  11. Press Power button to turn on the unit.
  12. Then press Ice Cream button.
  13. When the program is completed, with a spoon, create a 11/2-inch wide hole in the center that reaches the bottom of the pint container.
  14. Add the crushed cookies the hole and press Mix-In button.
  15. When the program is completed, turn the Outer Bowl and release it from the machine.
  16. Transfer the ice cream into serving bowls and serve immediately.
