- 3 large egg yolks
- 3/4 C. whole milk
- '/2 C. plus 2 tbsp. granulated sugar, divided
- '/4 C. heavy cream
- 1 tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 C. mascarpone
- 1 C. frozen mixed berries

Directions
- In a small saucepan, add the egg yolks, '/2 C. of sugar and corn syrup and beat until well combined.
- Add the mascarpone milk, heavy cream and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Remove from the heat and through a fine-mesh strainer, strain the mixture into an empty Ninja CREAMi pint container.
- Place the container into an ice bath to cool.
- After cooling, cover the container with the storage lid and freeze for 24 hours.
- Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, add the mixed berries and remaining sugar over medium heat and cook for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally and mashing to form a thick jam.
- Remove from heat and transfer the jam into a bowl.
- Refrigerate the jam until using.
- After 24 hours, remove the lid from container and arrange the container into the outer bowl of Ninja CREAMi.
- Install the "Creamerizer Paddle" onto the lid of outer bowl.
- Then rotate the lid clockwise to lock.
- Press "Power" button to turn on the unit.
- Then press "GELATO" button.
- When the program is completed, with a spoon, create a 11/2-inch wide hole in the center that reaches the bottom of the pint container.
- Add the berry jam into the hole and press "MIX-IN" button.
- When the program is completed, turn the outer bowl and release it from the machine.
- Transfer the gelato into serving bowls and serve immediately.
