Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream Maker - NC300

Ingredients

  • 1 C. whole milk
  • '/2 C. heavy cream
  • 1/4 C. sugar
  • 3 egg yolk
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • '/4 C. mini marshmallows
  • Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream Maker-NC300

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to broiler. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. Arrange the marshmallows onto the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Broil for about 5 minutes, flipping once halfway through.
  4. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, add the milk, heavy cream, sugar, egg yolks and a pinch of salt and beat until well combined.
  5. Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook for about 1 minute, stirring continuously.
  6. Remove from the heat and stir in half of the marshmallows.
  7. Transfer the mixture into an empty Ninja CREAMi pint container.
  8. Place the container into an ice bath to cool.
  9. After cooling, cover the container with the storage lid and freeze for 24 hours.
  10. Reserve the remaining marshmallows into the freezer.
  11. After 24 hours, remove the lid from container and arrange into the outer bowl of Ninja CREAMi.
  12. Install the "Creamerizer Paddle" onto the lid of outer bowl.
  13. Then rotate the lid clockwise to lock.
  14. Press "Power" button to turn on the unit.
  15. Then press "GELATO" button.
  16. When the program is completed, with a spoon, create a 11/2-inch wide hole in the center that reaches the bottom of the pint container.
  17. Add the reserved frozen marshmallows into the hole and press "MIX-IN" button.
  18. When the program is completed, turn the outer bowl and release it from the machine.
  19. Transfer the gelato into serving bowls and serve immediately.
